Potty time

I'm a very smart girl and I have completely understood this whole "Pee Pee in the Potty" concept for quite some time. The problem is, I really just don't want all of the attention that comes with going on the potty. I want to do my thing in my own time. Mommy says it's time to give up the diapers and pull ups. Yesterday, she put me in Dora undies all day and wouldn't let me use a diaper or pull up. I peed in my underwear twice. Then Mommy said I had to go "commando". Whatever that is. She told me I was treating undies like pull ups and she wasn't going to let me pee in anymore underwear. See, those pull ups are really glorified diapers. I don't know why she thought those would help me go on the potty easier. I'm no fool! Sooooo since I didn't have a pull up or diaper on, I held it... for SIX hours. Then as 7:00 I finally peed on my potty. I didn't want all of the attention, but I was very proud of myself. Daddy has promised for several months to buy me a "My Little Pony" if I pee on the potty. He made good on his promise and took me to pick one out last night.

I still have a long road ahead of me, but Mommy says this is something we are going to be working really hard on this week. I keep hearing her tell people that Ryan was very easy to potty train. It was like flipping a switch. Once he went in the potty just one time, he never had any accidents. It's just not going as easy for me. Thank goodness Mommy understands. I know it would be better to get rid of the yucky diapers. This is just a hard transition for me. Everything else in life has come so easy for me. I can't complain that I'm having trouble with this. I'll get it...eventually!
