Update on the bugs

I don't have bugs in my hair anymore. Mommy still uses that stupid Robi comb on my hair everyday and she told me tonight that on Tuesday we'll do one more medicated shampoo treatment, but so far so good. NO MORE BUGS!!!! I wonder if she'll wash my bedding tomorrow morning again? She's so paranoid. I bet she does. I know she's trying to do what's best for me, but I think she's gone crazy with all of this.

Bugs, Mayo and a Showercap

My head has been hurting lately and I've not wanted anyone to comb my hair. I've also been grouchy and very tired. Mommy just thought it was a phase. Well Wednesday morning she noticed a bug in my hair. Upon further investigation she noticed LOTS and LOTS of bugs in my hair. She told me it was head lice and we needed to get it out right away. Daddy went to Walgreens and picked up a lice removal kit. I had to sit in a chair for 10 minutes with this smelly medicated shampoo on my head. It was supposed to kill the yucky bugs. Then Mommy and Daddy took turns combing the lice and nits (lice eggs) out of my hair. There were TONS of bugs. Mommy called the doctor and she said to buy a Robi comb. You use it on dry hair and it makes a humming sound when you use it. When it picks up a louse (singular term for lice), then it stops humming so you know to clean out the comb. Mommy used that on me too. Then she did this really cool thing. She put mayonnaise on my head and a shower cap over it. This is supposed to smother the lice and nits. I kept it on for a few hours. She washed my hair and then went to work again combing the nasty stuff out. While all of this is going on Mommy and Daddy are frantically cleaning and doing laundry. LOTS of laundry. Tonight, Mommy used the Robi comb on my hair again. The doctor told her to use it every night for a week or two, just to be one the safe side. After that she wanted to look for more nits. I was not having it. Ya know what I have sat still long enough. I'm tired of it. So, I resisted. Guess what though? Mommy is paranoid that we won't get all of the bugs killed so I got another mayonnaise and shower cap treatment. YES!!! Daddy put it on my hair. As he put it on there I said "This feels SOOOOO good." I get to sleep in it tonight. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. In the mean time, check me out in my shower cap.

New Jammies

Aren't I cute? Why of course I am! Which reminds me...Yesterday, when we were shopping I found a mirror so I started admiring myself.

Mommy said "Lauren come on. You need to stay with me."
I said "No Mommy! I'm looking in the mirror."
Mommy said "Why?"
I said "Because I'm CUTE!"

This is a three piece pj set. I insist on wearing the shorts AND the pants.

Mommy & Me time

Last night the guys went to a hockey game. Dad isn't a big hockey fan but my brother LOVES it. While they were doing that Mommy and I had some girl time. We went shopping! Mommy finally found a swimming suit she likes and likes the way it fit. She said she's been looking for a couple of years and just never found the perfect one. I think she really likes this one.

Guess what else we got? Mommy and I each got a new pair of Pajama's. Hers are light blue and mine are the Disney Princesses. They are pink and purple. I love them. I put them on the counter so we could pay for them and then the lady put them in the bag with Mommy's stuff. I can barely see over the counter but she finally heard me when I said "Can I please have my jammies back?!" The nice lady pulled them out of the bag and handed them to me. There was a guy behind me in line and I think he thought I was cute because he had the biggest grin on his face as I held my new jammies. There are three pieces to these new jammies; a shirt, pants and shorts. I wear both the pants and the shorts. The shorts go on over the pants. It looks so cute. I will probably wear them to bed tonight. If I do, I will have Mommy take a picture so you can see them. Check back later tonight.

Next we went to the grocery store...the one with the McDonald's in it. I was HUNGRY. Sure, it was 8:00 pm and yes, I'd already had supper but I was still hungry. Mommy just didn't understand my plea's to go get Chicken McNuggets. She told me maybe we could get something if I would just be good while she got groceries. I decided it was in my best interest to listen to her. After she paid for the groceries she said "it's time to go home now." Whoa! Ummmm, I had to set her straight. I was good and I wanted McDonald's. I reminded her of what she told me and she said she remembered but wanted to see if I did. She told me I could have a hot fudge sundae for a snack but I told her I was HUNGRY. Nuggets and fries are what I wanted. She gave in and I ate every last bite. I told her I was hungry.

Socks and Shoes

I have never liked to wear socks or shoes. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm a girl so I really LOVE shoes, but when it comes to having to wear them I prefer bare feet. I just don't like the stuff the can get in between my toes. There are many many times, you will see me pulling my socks and shoes off at the dinner table and getting annoyed with the fuzz between my toes. So I will proceed to "pick" at my toes as I eat. Mommy caught be doing this earlier today in the craft room.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday we had a Valentine's party at Keri's. It was so fun. We gave valentine's to all of our friends and we had some brownies. Today Mommy gave Ry Ry and I each a Valentine's Day present. He got Indiana Jones Legos and I got Princess Lego's. Mommy played with me for a long time with them. We made a house and some little people.

Just a Thursday

Today was a typical Thursday. I rode to Keri's in the Ford truck and Mom picked me up in the Mitsubishi car. It was a nice day out so we walked to pick Ry Ry up from the bus stop. Tomorrow is my Valentine party at Keri's. I made my valentines to pass out this year. We used cardstock paper (pink & purple) and stamps.

'How was your good day?'

I've started a trend in my house. People always say "How was your day?" That leaves the door wide open for someone to list off everything that went wrong in their day. I decided it's better to say "How was your good day?" My whole family has picked up on this. Everyone in my family (Mommy & Daddy, Ry Ry, and I) now says "How was your good day?' How cool is that?!

A clock for my hand

Tonight I went to McDonald's for supper. I ordered hamburger Happy Meal with chocolate milk. The toy was a Hello Kitty Clock for my hand. Daddy says it's a watch, but it sure looks like a miniature clock to me that goes on my hand.

When we got home, Daddy wanted to work on a project in his work shop. I told him NO! I don't want any loud noises. I wanted to play baseball on the Wii. Daddy set me up my own Mii and named her Lauren. I did pretty good at baseball. I hit a double.

When Mommy and Ry Ry got home, we finished making our Valentines. It was a good day.

Playing Dress Up

For Christmas my brother and I each got a suitcase filled with dress up clothes. We LOVE to play dress up. Tonight Ry Ry decided he would just dress up in some of my clothes. I really can't complain. He's such a great big brother. When his friends come over they don't like me to play with them because I'm a girl. Ry Ry doesn't care that I'm a girl though. He loves me just the way I am. And really Ry Ry likes everyone, boys and girls. I'm not sure what's wrong with those other boys. They just don't understand what a fun person I can be. Mommy always protects me though and keeps me occupied. She plays with my dollhouse with me or we color. What those boys don't realize is that in about 15 years, they will want to date me. Ya know what, it's not gonna happen. I might only be two, but I'm no idiot. This is their loss.

Just another day

Today I rode in the Ford truck to work and rode in the Mitsubishi car home. Typical Monday. On the way home, in the Mitsubishi car, Fried Chicken (aka Chicken Fried by the Zac Brown Band) came on the radio. I couldn't believe it! Daddy always tells me it's not on the radio. It must not come on the radio in the Ford truck, but it does in the Mitsubishi car.

I heard Daddy talking about some Wappel-Vision interview. I'm not sure what that means, but I think he's worried about some work meeting on February 20, because he'll be on the big screen in front of everyone.

Me updating my blog using the MacBook (don't tell Mommy)

My own blog

It's my turn! My brother has had a blog since August, when he started Kindergarten. Well ya know what? I do some pretty cool stuff too. I get to post about my days and the crazy things I do. For example, did you know I LOVE to lay in Mom's bed and read her magazines? Her and Dad think they are in charge. It's all an illusion. I run this house!
